QSO near Urbana, Illinois

Fun thing happened Saturday night, as I was driving towards Urbana, Illinois. I had my new AnyTone D878uv scanning through the repeaters I had plugged in when I heard a very familiar voice come across the airwaves - one I’ve only heard on the *DODROPIN* conference in Echolink before. It was Dwayne <sp?> N9ZIV. We had a very brief QSO as I passed by using just the HT and its little whip antenna. Later on that night in Decatur, it started snowing and the roads were icing over pretty bad, so I decided to call it a night and camped out until they got the roads cleared up a bit. 73 & Happy New Year all.
